Humanities
Campbellsville University's Division of Humanities offers degree programs in English, Spanish, Theatre, and MA TESOL; minors in French, dance, and women's and gender studies; and certificates in ESL and TESL. Accenting the liberal arts, Humanities programs prepare students for academic and vocational pursuits while grounding them with Christian values.
Five departments make up the Division of Humanities:
English
Campbellsville University offers an area, major, and minor in English and provides certification for teaching English in grades 8-12. In addition to Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) in English degree options, students may also complete a Master of Arts (MA) in English.
Modern Foreign Languages
Campbellsville University offers an area, major, and minor in Spanish; a minor in French; and certification for teaching Spanish in grades 8-12. The university also offers cultural courses. Opportunities to study abroad are available through the Center of Education Abroad.
Theatre and Dance
Campbellsville University offers a BFA in musical theatre; BA and BS degrees in technical theatre and theatre performance; and minors in both theatre and dance.
Women's and Gender Studies
Campbellsville University offers an interdisciplinary minor in women's and gender studies.
MA TESOL, TESL, and ESL
Campbellsville University offers a Master of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and certificates in both teaching and studying English as a second language.
